Chicago Chess Foundation

What is the Chicago Chess Foundation?

The Chicago Chess Foundation aims to give all children in Chicago, especially underserved communities, an opportunity to learn, play, and compete in chess at no cost. The CCF Board of Directors includes successful chess coaches, program directors, parents, administrators and members of the financial community. In collaboration with Queens United, we will accomplish this by through collaboration on virtual and in-person Girls Clubs and other chess tournaments and events.

Girls Club

CCF can invite the Chicago girls community to join the club. The recurring girls club will connect young girls with older students who will help them continue and inspire them on their chess journey. This way we help grow and retain the number of young girl chess players in Chicago and at CCF tournaments.

Tournaments and Events

Queens United and CCF has collaborated on seasonal tournaments/events to help promote a more inclusive chess community such as the annual All-Girls Tournament. We will also be hosting women empowerment guest speaker events and workshops.
